She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Otto Niten and Nannie Young Niten; her husband Johnnie Calhoun Sr.; and her brothers, Joseph Lee Niten and John A Niten (Jay).
She is survived by: her sons, Johnnie Dee Calhoun Jr. (Lee Ann) and Ronnie Lee Calhoun; her siblings, Bennie Niten (Joyce), Allene N. Harrison (Thaxton) and Virginia "Lucille" Beasley (Frank); her granddaughter Izabella Calhoun; and her stepgrandson Michael Meadows.
