She was predeceased by: her parents, Odie Bowman and Rosie Lawson Bowman; her husband Hobert Shelton; her children, Shirley Willard, Mary Ann Tate, Leroy Shelton and John Henry Shelton; and her siblings, Bertie Roberts, Hazel Hicks, Maggie Hensley, Walter and Frank Bowman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Irene (Allen Lewis), Marilyn Irvin and Joann Marshall; and her daughter-in-law Gail Shelton. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren.
