He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hardin and Eula Miller Hardin; his wife Vivian Greer Hardin; his son Steve Hardin; his son-in-law Eddie Miller; and his brother Tommy Hardin (Mary).
He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Miller of Jefferson and Robin Osborne (Robert) of West Jefferson; his daughter-in-law Marsha Hardin of Mooresville; his grandchildren, Christopher Hardin of Mooresville, Lindsy Deal (Josh) of Florida, Elizabeth Miller (Rodney) of West Jefferson, James Miller (Charity) of Fleetwood and Kimberli Osborne of West Jefferson; his great grandchildren, Heith Hardin Deal, Eli Miller, Ethan Miller and Elaine McNeil; and his great great grandchild Sadie Kate. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
