He was predeceased by: his father Harris H. Lemly; and his siblings, Norman, Townly, Ithel, Richard, Tracy Lemly, Ruth Greene, Edwina Kincaid, Lorene Edwards, Wilma Williams and Ola Belle Edwards.
He is survived by: his son Michael James Lemly (Earlene Barker) of West Jefferson, NC; his granddaughters, Michelle Lemly Watson (Brian Watson) of Charlotte, NC and Melanie Lemly Owens (Andrew Owens) of Hampstead, NC; his sister Ailene Young of West Jefferson; his close friend Janice Church Kimbro of West Jefferson; and his wife Ruth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
