She was predeceased by: her father Booker Cox; and her siblings, Mary C Garrett, JoAnn Dalton, Betty, Lou Garrett, Doris Parks, Shirley Bailey, Danny K Garrett, Junior Garrett and Harold Garrett.
She is survived by: her daughter Jasmine Pearce (Sadonte) of Charlotte; her siblings, Michael Garrett (Melissa) of Millers Creek, Eric Garrett (Jay Robinson) of Lenoir, Clifford Hamilton (Eleanor) of Wilkesboro, Booker Cox, O'Dell Cox, Charles Cox, Eric Cox, Diane Hayes of Elkin and Mildred Garrett of Ashe; and her grandchildren, Ja'Shawn Blanks, Harmony Pearce, Jacob Pearce and Jacoby Pearce. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
