He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Gentry and Della Gentry of West Jefferson; his son Timmy Martin Gentry; and his brother Dewey Gentry. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Gentry; his sisters, Betty Moretz of Lincolnton and Jewel Houck of West Jefferson; his daughter Tammy Gentry; and his granddaughters, Cara Gentry and Hannah Tucker.
