With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Keith Bumgarner of West Jefferson, North Carolina, born in Elkton, Maryland, who passed away on January 6, 2023 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his father Herbert Cole Bumgarner; his brothers, Larry and Kenny Bumgarner; and his brother-in-law J. V. Wyatt. He is survived by: his daughter Shera Ashley (Mike) of West Jefferson; his sisters, Cindy Eller (Wayne) of Walkertown, Jeanne Wyatt of West Jefferson, Kenna Cooper (Ricky) of Winston-Salem, Shelia Wyatt (Randy) of Millers Creek and Missy Greene (Richard) of Fleetwood; his stepgrandson Brandon Bower (Amber) of Lansing; his stepgreat-granddaughter Hollyn Bower; and his pet Charlie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
