He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Brown and Ava Lee Jones Brown; and his siblings, Joe Brown, J. C. Brown, Leonard Brown, Robert Brown and Emma Lou Caudill.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Hill Brown; his sons, Ricky Brown (Nancy) of West Jefferson and Jimmy Brown (Alisa) of West Jefferson; his brother Herbert Brown (Eloise) of Winston-Salem; his grandchildren, Trent Brown of Millers Creek, Ashley Brown of West Jefferson, Nathan Brown (Chasity) of North Wilkesboro and Josh Brown (Hunter) of Laurel Springs; and his great grandchildren, Hayley Brown, Jacob Brown, Chloe, Oaklyn Brown, Salem Brown, Tatum Brown and Meridy Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
