She was predeceased by: her parents, William Franklin Jarvis and Addie Comer Jarvis; her husband Walter Calvin Howell; her sons, Calvin, Alvin and Bobbie Ray Howell; and her granddaughter Emmily Howell.
She is survived by: her children, Dony Howell Miller (Lloyd) of West Jefferson, Jimmy Howell of West Jefferson, Carson Howell of West Jefferson and Dennis Howell of Wilkesboro; and her grandchildren, Felicia Miller, Malisha Henson, Joni Hart, Kristy McNeil, April Howell, Bridgett Renkert, Steven Howell and Scottie Howell. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
