“My Grandparents (Walter & Chrystal Halsey) were friends & neighbors of the Matneys in Grassy Creek. I met the Matneys & visited with them in their beautiful home in Grassy Creek. I remember her uniquely beautiful garden which inspired me in later years to create my own pollinator gardens. My grandparents became avid fans of hummingbirds and maintained a hummingbird feeder until their deaths in 1993 & 1994. Their hummingbird came & said a final goodbye as I was packing up their belongings.”
