She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cecil and Hattie Bare Bower; and her husband William Dean McNeill. She is survived by: her children, Terry McNeill (Susan) of Burlington and Pamela Shatley of Crumpler; her sisters, Audrey Bower Hurley of West Jefferson and Wanda Waldenberger of Arizona; her grandchildren, Stephanie McNeill Ray (Joseph), Allison Leigh McNeill, Andrew Shatley, Laura Monfiston (Dominque) and Nathan Shatley (Heather); and her great grandchildren, Chase, Katelynn Ray, Amaliyah Shatley, Adrian Winterton, Avery Dillard, Gabriel, Parker and Connor Shatley.
