Lucy Carpenter left this world on July 22, 2024 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Falls and Viola Young Carpenter; and her siblings, Sandra Carpenter Goodloe, Meredith Burns and George F. Carpenter.
She is survived by: her husband John Henry Smyre; her children, Major John Chadwick Smyre (Natalie) of Anchorage and Ashley Smyre of Winston Salem; and her grandchildren, Mai Graham, Joe Budig, Nick Budig and Drew Budig.
