It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillard Turner of West Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sandford and Elza Perkins Turner; his son Randy Turner; and his siblings, Irene Turner, Maxine Trotter, Ilene Poe, Wilma Shepherd, Hazel Jones, Zell Graybeal, Joe Allen Turner, Linville Turner, Aubrey Turner, James Turner and Tracy Turner.
He is survived by: his daughter Gina; his friend Lillard; his wife Lena Day Turner; his daughter-in-law Martha Turner of Jefferson; his daughter Regina Brown (Mike) of Clayton, NC; his grandchildren, Laura Turner of Jefferson, Stephanie Carroll of Clayton, NC and William Brown of Clayton, NC.; and his sisters, Ruth White (Jim) of Lexington, Dora Smith (Ralph) of West Jefferson, Mary Hopkins (Ronnie) of West Jefferson and Kathryn Ashley of Warrensville.
