He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ray and Carrie Gentry Greer; and his wife Jeanne Houck Greer. He is survived by: his children, Karrah Shepherd (Joey) of West Jefferson, Kevin Greer (Phyllis) of Glendale Springs and Charles Greer of West Jefferson; his sister Betty Hart of West Jefferson; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Greer, Bethany McElory, Brittany Worley and Branson Shepherd. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
