James Carey Wood Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Carey Wood of West Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Donald Wood. He is survived by: his mother Connie Duke Wood of Carrollton, GA; his brothers, Anthony Wood (Debbie) of Newnan, GA and Kevin Wood (Syletia); his nieces and nephews, Katlynne Benizzi, Dylan Wood, Brianna Nave and Brenton Wood; and his great-nephews, Maddox Benizzi and Jaxon Benizzi.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
