She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillard Quincy Hoosier and Laura Edna Walker; her husband William Glen Brown; and her siblings, Arlene Ashley of Ahoskie, NC, Dale Hoosier of Jefferson, NC and Darrell Hoosier of Dobson, NC..

She is survived by: her son Terry Brown (Janie) of Clemmons, NC; her grandchild Kieran Brown; her stepgreat-grandson Malachi (Benjamin Brown) of Waynesville, NC; her stepgrandchildren, Leah Rupert (Matt), Abbie, Will of Cary, NC, Keith Adkins (Amie) and Luella of Bothell, WA.; and her siblings, Delbert Hoosier (Joan) of Hockessin, Joe Hoosier (Josephine) of Jefferson, NC and Tressie Mae Calhoun (JD) of Creston, NC..

Memorials may be made to the Mount Jefferson Presbyterian Church, PO Box 782, West Jefferson, NC 28694 and also to the American Cancer Society.
