Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Irene Turner of West Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 102, on February 5, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cicero Baldwin and Dema Barker Baldwin; her husband Walter James Turner; her son Randy Turner; her siblings, Ruby Ashley, Ralph Baldwin and Reeves Baldwin; and her son-in-law Gale Walker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Geneva Walker of West Jefferson and Gladys Tjaden of West Jefferson. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Phoenix Baptist Church.
