He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Hopkins and Stella Howell Hopkins; his wife Linda Kay Hopkins; and his stepfather Dent Houck. He is survived by: his children, Anthony "Tony" Hopkins, Sr. (Pam) of West Jefferson, Timothy Hopkins (Justine) of West Jefferson and Patricia Seagle (Lance) of Fleetwood; and his siblings, Dentise Houck (Pauline) of West Jefferson and Linda Stone of Rural Hall, Several. He is also survived by Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
