He was predeceased by: his son Matthew Koen; his granddaughter Jorden Pahler; and his parents, Edith Colvard Crutcher and John William Crutcher. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Valerie Pierce (Jason Pierce) of Coarsegold, CA and Michael Koen of Atascadero, CA; his sister Sandra Barrett of Jefferson, NC; and his half-sister Sophia Koen of Los Angeles. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and three stepdaughters.
