He was predeceased by: his parent Hearl Kenneth. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Parsons Powers; and his siblings, Barry Powers of Lansing, Robert Powers of Wilkesboro and Sharon Hartzog of West Jefferson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
