Gail Proffit Lambert Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gail Proffit Lambert of West Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Gail Proffit farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gail Proffit is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dean Proffit and Fannie Mae Miller Proffit; and her brother Darrell Proffit. She is survived by: her husband James Edward Lambert; her children, Jeffery "Buck" Todd Lambert (Sherry) of Creston and Kimberly Wheeler (John) of West Jefferson; her granddaughter Caroline Hughes; and her brothers, Wayne Proffit (Janice) of Graham, Arlon Proffit (Yogi) of Burlington and Morris Proffit (Katie) of Grover. She is also survived by Three brothers in law, four sisters in law and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the local, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, or Veterans of Foreign Wars.
