We bid farewell to Dwight Owens of West Jefferson, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 9, 2025 at the age of 80. Dwight touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Dwight shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dwight farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Owens and Marie Watson Owens. He is survived by: his wife Betty Hardin Owens; and his daughter Amanda Thompson (Randy) of West Jefferson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Boone Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services (2005 Mt Jefferson Rd, West Jefferson, NC 28694). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
