He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Phipps Bower and George Pell Bower. He is survived by: his girlfriend Jane Smyre; and his siblings, Dickie Bower (Brenda) of Greensboro and Jane Ann Coe (Scott) of Boone, NC. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces, and four great nieces.
