He was predeceased by: his parents, Elena Freeman and David Drake Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Sara Drake of Creston; his children, James Drake (Wendy Fowler) of Laurel Springs, Kristi Powers (Travis Powers) of Creston and Michael Drake (Kristi Drake) of Mouth; his grandchildren, Dylan Drake, Gabriel Powers, Cooper Powers and Autumn Powers; and his stepgrandchildren, John Sluder, Jamie Brown, Kalyn Chapman and Macie Hart.
