With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Callie Esther Pennington of West Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on August 26, 2020 at the age of 110. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Jones and Sallie Pennington Jones; her husband Thomas Pennington; and her children, Opal Myers, Joseph Pennington, Raymond Pennington, Spencer Pennington, Charlie Pennington and Albert Pennington.
She is survived by: her children, Walter Pennington of West Jefferson, Carlos Pennington of Yadkinville and Maggie Moretz of West Jefferson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Clifton Baptist Church in care of Mary Richardson, 620 Carl Eastridge Road, Warrensville, NC 28693.
