With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Buster Frank Turnmire (West Jefferson, North Carolina), who passed away on May 24, 2022 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Turnmire and Alice Dickens Turnmire; his wife Dorothy Glea Swinney; and his daughter Alice Faye Turnmire. He is survived by: his children, Ronald Wayne Turnmire (Juanita) of West Jefferson, Ruth Herold of Lenoir and Barbara Revis (Randy Revis) of Lansing.

“Amazing, I ran across this. I was a Girl Scout volunteer back many years ago when I met Alice Faye, even though she was blind, she knew when I walked into the room. Her Mother wrote me a letter with a picture of Alice Faye & Barbara years later. I live in Kannapolis, NÇ, but visit my Dads old home place a lot on 16 going down the mountain. I can't imagine her Dad living to 102. My Mother passed going on 101. I am saddened for this family & send prayers & love!, Mernie Jennings”
