It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blanche Barker (West Jefferson, North Carolina), who passed away on October 28, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Edgar and Emma Jane Severt Wilcox; her former husband Herbert Carter; her husband Shirley Barker; and her siblings, Herbert Wilcox, Francis White and Faye Green.
She is survived by: her daughters, Robyn Gilbert (Curt) of Plymouth and Evelyn Carter of Fredericksburg, VA; her granddaughter Ginger Gilbert; her brother Larry Wilcox (Theresa) of Fredericksburg, VA; and her cousin Betty Wilcox of West Jefferson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
