It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billie Maxine Johnson of West Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Elliott and Bernice Parsons Elliott; and her husband Conley Paul Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Gary Elliott of Galax, VA, Peggy Atwood (Johnny) of Boone, Patsy Greene (Jerry) of Avery County, Linda Davis of Laurel Springs, Cinda Galgano (Mike Dillon) of Boone and Angela Ham (Gerry) of Lansing. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
