It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ruth Richardson of West Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke Lilburn and Anna Mary Wiles Hart; her son Robert Glenn Richardson; and her siblings, Dale Hart, Quinton Hart of Lansing, Ethel Blevins, Blanche Miller of Lansing, Grace Miller of West Jefferson and Retha Shepherd of Laurel Springs.
She is survived by: her husband Herbert Richardson; her daughters, Mary Johnson (Dick) of Crumpler, NC and Sherry Blevins of West Jefferson, NC; her daughter-in-law Patricia Lindley (Andy) of Jefferson, NC; her grandchildren, Andy Richardson, Kevin Richardson of West Jefferson, NC, Lora Miller (TJ) of West Jefferson, Rebecca Reedy (Mitchell) of Damascus, VA and Emily Blevins of West Jefferson; her siblings, Doris Perry Greer of Lansing, NC and Carl Hart (Dorothy) of Warrensville, NC; her sister-in-law Virginia Hart of Lansing, NC; and her great grandchildren, Hailey, Leigha Miller, Bryson and Cameron Reedy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to New Bethel Baptist Church.
