It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Ellender Canter (West Jefferson, North Carolina), who passed away on September 28, 2019, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gethro Canter and Rebecca Rash Canter; and her siblings, Dellet, Odell, Joseph Canter, Alice Price, Flossie Grogan, Ocie Canter, Beulah Osborne and Eartle Canter.
She is survived by: her sister Shirley Canter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
