It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alta Testerman Owens (West Jefferson, North Carolina), who passed away on February 15, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reece Testerman and Blanche Miller Testerman; and her sisters, Laura Wood, Mamie Gentry and Doris Nance.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Owens; her children, Robert Owens (Pam) of Winnsboro, SC and Rose Owens of Columbia, SC; her sister Lillian Weissenberger of New Jersey; her granddaughters, Amanda Owens and Savannah Bairefoot; and her great grandchildren, Jaxon Speagle and Braxten Owens. She is also survived by eight nieces and one nephew; many great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
