He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Paul and Kathleen Sawyer Furr; and his sister Brenda Jones. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Vest Furr of West End; his sons, Scott Furr (Katrina) of Hickory and Derek Furr (Grace) of Houston, TX; his sisters, Susan Cox of Sanford, NC and Kay Johnson (Graham) of Sanford, NC; his grandchildren, Katie Walker (Josh), Allison Stout (Henry) and Andrew Furr; and his great grandchild Rhodes Walker.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Culdee Presbyterian Church (916 NC-73, West End, NC 27376).
