He is survived by: his sons, David Cheek (Jerry) of West End and Rev. Darrell Cheek (Donna) of Powder Springs, GA; and his grandchildren, Tyler Cheek, Holden Cheek (Evon), Connor Cheek, Katie Deese (Cody), Matthew Cheek (Whitney), Andrea Kinsey, Heidi Lawson (Bronzie) and April Davidson (Greg). He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
