He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Talmadge Phillips and Myrtle Elkins Phillips; and his siblings, Margaret Elizabeth Phillips, Doris Jean Phillips Sheppard and Edward Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his son Eddie (Michelle); his granddaughter Ashley Phillips Joyner (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Caroline Faith Joyner and Luke Mason Joyner; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Phillips, Virginia Phillips, Flora Tucker, Sandra Tucker and Roy L. Tucker.
