He is survived by: his children, Charles Matthewson (Edie) of Tucson, Arizona, Mary Frances Matthewson of Tucson and Deborah Faye Shaw (William) of Frankfort, Michigan; and also Judy Spivey (Jeffrey) of West End. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
