It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dudley James Rector Jr. (West End, North Carolina), born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on May 9, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Louise Presson. He is survived by: his wife Celia Luvina Fletcher Rector; his children, Thad Rector (Lynn) of West End and Teresa Wicker (James) of Wilmington, NC; his grandchildren, Shelly Wagner (Matt), Shelton Wicker, Josh Rector (Brittnie) and Stephaine Ashley (Brent); and his great grandchildren, Riley Wagner, Walker Wagner, Chase Ashley and Coy Ashley.
Rector was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Presson.In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in memory of Dudley Rector to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Masonic Home For Children at 600 College St. Oxford, NC 27565.
