He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Cox Griffith. He is survived by: his children, Pam Archer (Stuart) of Eden, Mickey Gilbert (Tommy) of Chocowinity, Cathy Griffith of Greensboro and Casey Griffith of Eden; his grandchildren, Mandy McCune, Clay Collier, Heather Spencer and Derek Archer; his great grandchildren, Bishop, Drew, Tyler, Mady, Simon and Violet; and his siblings, Julia Scott, Martha Conner, Shirley Martin and Frank Griffith, Jr..
