It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Robert Grimes of Wendell, North Carolina, who passed away on May 3, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Leamon. He is survived by: his wife Gaynelle "Gay" Branton Grimes; his sons, Branton (Amy) and Marcus (Christina); his grandchildren, Jacob, Ava and Megan; and his sister Pat Cantey.

For memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, the Grimes family prefers them to be made to your local Salvation Army, the Wendell Baptist Church or to the Gideons International.
