She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Cleveland Liles and Mary Mitchell Liles; her husband Cecil Caswell Whitley; her daughter Cecilia Whitley Gardner; and her siblings, Cleveland Liles, Elizabeth Jeffreys, Geneva Liles, Henrietta Mangum, Cleo McCarson and Joyce Alford.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Whitley Hudson (Tracey) and Clay Whitley (Tracy); her son-in-law Ray Gardner; her grandchildren, Keith Whitley (Karlee), Kendall Whitley (Brinkley) and Tammy Gardner Hebert (David); her great grandchildren, Ava Whitley, Austin and Elizabeth Hebert; and her sisters, June Arnold and Dorothy Batchelor.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Baptist Tabernacle Church (1599 NC-231, Wendell, NC 27591). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
