He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger LeRoy Wilson and Alice Edmondson Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Carol Dean Wilson; his children, Stephen Todd Wilson (Mary), Kristy Wilson Johnson (Michael) and Tara Wilson Fuchs (Brandon); his grandchildren, Thaddeus "Thad" Wilson, Holly Alice Johnson, Corrie Beth Johnson, Andy Johnson and Charlie Johnson; and his siblings, Lee "Skeeter" Ormand Wilson (Lou), Janice W. Fowler (David) and Georgia W. Pope (Buzz).
