She was predeceased by: her father Romulus Benton; her husband John B. M. Goetz, Jr.; and her sister Cheryl Blaylock. She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Goetz Bridgers; her sister Corinne Barwick (Allen); and her brother-in-law Tom Goetz (Martha). She is also survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
