He was predeceased by: his parents, Needham Elbert Williamson and Paulina Tarpley Williamson; his son William "Bill" Needham Williamson, II; and his siblings, William Williamson, John Williamson, Mary Warrick, Nell White and Margie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Alford Williamson; his son Samuel E Williamson, Jr. (Donna); his grandsons, Brandon Thomas Williamson and William "Bill" Paul Williamson; and his sister Addie W. Radford.
