It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Samuel Jones Davis (Wendell, North Carolina), who passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Albert Davis and Madge Jones Davis; his wife Virginia Hagwood Davis; and his siblings, Charles Ashley Davis, Eloise D. Wilkinson, Patricia D. Griffin and Marie D. Poole.

He is survived by: his children, Samuel Richard Davis, Kathryn Dell Tims (Ray) and Lillian Annette Israel (Don); his grandchildren, Raymond Lindsey Tims, Jr., Jessica Leigh Israel and Elizabeth Dell Israel Fletcher (Jake); and his great grandchildren, Taylor Elizabeth Israel and Zoe Camille Sims. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
