He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Smith and Flossie Mae Smith (Tilley); and his siblings, Tommy Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Jerry Smith and Connie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Smith; his children, Jaimie Smith, Brian Smith (Maria), Jeffrey Morgan, Vincent Morgan (Stephanie) and April Cooper (Don); his grandchildren, Jessica Wallace (William), Hannah Smith, Banks Smith, Melia Morgan, Mariah Morgan and Jack Morgan; and his great grandchild Evie Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Knightdale Baptist Church or Foundation of Hope.
