He is survived by: his wife Rosa L. Whitley; his children, Kelly Whitley of Kannapolis, NC, Christine Whitley of Kannapolis, NC, Legette Whitley, III of Kannapolis, NC, Eric of Raleigh, NC, Christopher of Raleigh, NC, Jawon Whitley of Raleigh, NC, Donald Funderburke (Sharonda), Elgia Lucas, Audrey Hinton, Harold Lucas, Yvonne O'neal (Larry), Malachi Lucas (Delma) and James Lucas (Terri); his aunt Apostle Margie Harris of Washington, DC; and his siblings, Frank and Olivia Carpenter. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 6 great-grand-children; and a host of other relatives and friends.
