He is survived by: his wife Marie Beasley Blackwell; his children, Kenny Blackwell, Jr. (Cheryl) of Youngsville and Joy Faith Blackwell Hicks (Tom Dupaquier) of Wendell; his siblings, Sammie Blackwell (Shirley) of Raleigh and Betty Lou Mitchell (Douglas) of Wake Forest; his grandchildren, Amanda Landon (Mat), Wendy Whitman (Eric) and Stormie Hicks; and his great grandchildren, Bailey Whitman and Ryan Landon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
