She was predeceased by: her parents, Ballard Stainback and Betty Lou Stainback; her husband Willie Lewis George Jr.; her son Willie Lewis George III; and her siblings, Bruce Stainback and Evelyn Hayes.

She is survived by: her children, Jerry George (Tracy), David B. George (Susan), Kaye Samford and Joy Crenshaw (Timmy); and also, Bobbie Sue Rudder, Fred, Maryann Alford and Philip Tarnaski. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
