With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joe Brian Hess (Wendell, North Carolina), born in Watts, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2024 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Hess and Ruth Hodges Hess; and his brother Tom Hess. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hess; his children, D. Michael Lucas (Maryann), Derek Lucas (Holly) and Michelle Lucas; his nephew Brian Hess; his grandchildren, Jasmine Lucas, Brian Lucas, Matthew Lucas (Tiffany), Cynthia Lucas, Christopher Richmond (Kate), Stephen Richmond, Leslie Skirving (Matthew) and Nicole Lucas; and his great grandchildren, Raven Lucas and Libby Richmond.
