It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grover Junior Horton of Wendell, North Carolina, who passed away on June 5, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Grover may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Grover touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. William Grover Horton and Genora Mitchell Horton; and his sisters, Ruby Stewart and Geretta Williams. He is survived by: his nephew Charles Fleming (Daniel Fleming); and his nieces, Sharon Fleming of Franklinton, Vicky Mial of New Jersey, Teresa Atwater of Raleigh and Veronica Mial of Wendell. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
