Greta Garbo Hensley McMillan Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2022, at the age of 92, Greta Garbo Hensley McMillan (Wendell, North Carolina), born in Cobb, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Cicer Paul; her husband Reverend Charles Lamar McMillan, Jr.; and her siblings, Sam Penland Hensley and Marble John Hensley. She is survived by: her children, Laura M. Lavin (Pete) of Greenville, David McMillan (Nancy) of Mebane, Beth M. Long (John) of Fuquay and Varina; her sister Sarah Hensley Miles; and her grandchildren, Sean Lavin (Allison), Joseph Lavin (Catherine), Ben McMillan (Meredith), Meg Jessup (Romondo), Tara Boyd (Chris), Johnny Long (Chassity), Travis Long (Carley) and Kristin Long. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springmoor Life Care Endowment, 1500 Sawmill Rd., Raleigh, or a charity of choice.
